I am in New York City. It is still my favorite place (okay, London, Paris, and San Francisco come close, but I know where my heart is), and I spent the day doing good work on this Cool Writing Project with some of my favorite writers

It's so very odd, being a New Yorker in your soul, and choosing, for whatever valid reasons, to live elsewhere. I'm still trying to process it...and NOT being there yesterday felt very... not so much strange as unsettling.
