An occasion to note Rochester's epitaph:

Here lies our Sovereign Lord the King
Whose word no man relies on
Who never said a foolish thing
Nor ever did a wise one.

I like the version whereby this was pronounced to Charles while he lived, to which he replied, "Very true, for my words are my own, but my deeds are my ministers'."

It is. And as always, my chiefest joy is trying to figure out the plumbing, the backstairs functions, the kitchens. I'm an infrastructure nerd.
