i don't think that changing your hair is a form of self-mutilation... it's more about changing how you look to get closure and finish a chapter of your life. for example, the second i left virginia when all that shit happened with my dad, i cut 8 inches off my hair. it's like getting rid of a burden or hurtful memory.

i miss my pre-pubescent lion.

I actually take scissors and HACK at my hair.

hmm. only YOU know the answer to that. i just think that your (and mine as well) self-mutilation tends to be internal rather than external.
