I do not know where this came from, other than the timing of Star Trek: Generations. Slightly Spork Primes, but...anyway. I have no clue if the dates are correct, other than the year.

Ambassador Spock,
I have been privy to a most intriguing phenomenon which I believe you should know about. It is likely you have heard of the debacle with Dr. Soran, and the destruction of the Enterprise-D. What is not likely to make it into the history texts is that I had help. In the Nexus lived a person with whom you are well acquainted. James Kirk, a man out of legend, lost his life after a bridge collapsed, crushing him after defeating Dr. Soran.
He told me that despite his blissful existence: riding horses, attempting to cook, splitting wood, etc, he was lonely, as he could not share this place with his best friends. Thus, I contact the surviving friend, with the death of Admiral McCoy, to communicate that it was a pleasure to meet such a man, and to tell you of his heroism. He even at one point said, "You know, if Spock were here, he'd say I was an irrational, illogical human being for taking on a mission like that... sounds like fun."

I was aware of his final death. My thanks for relating the exact nature and situation. My captain always was reckless, especially without one of us with him, or Leonard to repair all the new holes afterwards.
With his death, I am the last of us, the senior crew of that 5-year mission. Forgive an elderly being, but learning that Jim died as he lived, saving others and having adventures, it is a relief.
