Since everyone else seems to be doing this...here goes.
There's NCIS (both), Criminal Minds, Highlander (AU), Sherlock (new BBC one), Covert Affairs, and Harry Potter
1) Blow your Mind- Lock and Load (DJ Icey remix) Criminal Minds/NCIS (Garcia, Emily, Spencer/Tony DiNozzo-PG)
Emily had dragged Reid and Garcia to a club to relive her goth days, as she was a bit depressed about turning 40. She and Garcia sat in a corner sipping cocktails and watching Reid get hit on, as Garcia had dressed him for the night. Dressed all in black except for his brocade vest, his hair combed into an androgynous swoop, he was the center of attention for a sizable group of men and women. He seemed to think his sleight of hand was the draw, he still had no clue he was many people's definition of eye candy. Then, Pen squealed, for a reason Emily wasn't sure of.
"What's up, Pen?"
"My friend, Abby, from NCIS is here with her wingman/clubbing partner, Tony. Tony has an eye for beautiful boys, and would be good for Spencer."
Said boy was visibly succumbing to Tony's grin, and the three came over to the table.
"Abby!"
"Pen! This is the Spencer you always talk about?"
"Yep, we went to CalTech together before I dropped out."
___Song ended, but it seemed incomplete____
Spencer and Tony chatted for the rest of the night, and exchanged numbers before leaving.
Two years later, he was at another club, this time with his husband, as part of a joint undercover op. There was a series of murders related to shore-leave rendezvous; sailors and their same-sex partners were taken from 'fluid' clubs, kept and tortured until the end of their leave, and both partners were left at the gate to the yard the morning they were to report. Tony had gotten a haircut one step from a high-and-tight, to perpetuate the idea he was a commander on shore leave who had let his hair grow out a bit too much. Mostly they got leave to cuddle in public on work-time.
2) Songs my mother taught me Criminal Minds (Gideon, Spencer-G)
Gideon had dragged him to this outdoor concert to get him away from his desk, probably in response to Hotch noticing how many overtime hours he'd put in. The aftermath of the Fisher King were taking a toll. The rest of the chamber ensemble put down their instruments, and only a quartet remained. Within a few seconds, his eyes had gone to half-mast, and a few tears escaped. The music somehow reminded him of cuddling with his mother as she read poetry to him.
3) Where have all the flowers gone?-EW&F Highlander AU (OFC-G)
Wil had signed in to the interrogation center, when she heard a song over the security desk guy's radio, one she hadn't heard in a while. That reminded her of the first time she'd heard it.
She was at UNC, on the way back from her first class, and passing through the Pit. There seemed to be a small sit-in in protest of the war, and the participants were singing along to a record. She sympathized with how they felt, she'd seen the ugliness of war firsthand multiple times, and thought about joining in, but with the quality of her background story, she couldn't risk an arrest record background check.
4) She Blinded Me with Science-Thomas Dolby Covert Affairs (Auggie-PG)
Auggie was in the middle of looking something up for Annie when his email pinged. It was from one of his old unit buddies, they'd caught the person who made the IED that took his sight. He chattered on for a while, but finally got around to the point, it was that local girl he'd 'dallied' with. As he closed the email, allowing his iTunes to restart, Thomas Dolby came on. He actually had to push away from his desk a bit, allowing the hysterical giggles to escape so he didn't cry. Hugging his knees, Joan found him on the floor between his chair and desk ten minutes later. She was quite sympathetic, and once he'd sent off the info to Annie, she let him go home.
5) Baby Got Back-Sir Mix-a-lot Criminal Minds (Garcia, Morgan-PG)
Penelope Garcia had not always felt so comfortable in her body. Her mother, a willowy lady, had been after her as soon as she started growing breasts to diet constantly. It wasn't until six months into her 'off-the-grid' time that her boyfriend at the time made it clear he liked a girl with some meat.
When she met Derek Morgan, she was immensely flattered by the light-hearted flirting, and as soon as they became friends--so she had a reason to have his number on her personal phone--she downloaded a custom tone for him.
6) Hot Patootie-RHPS NCIS:LA (Sam, Callen-G)
Sam had to stay at work a bit longer to finish some paperwork, so he got back to his house after G arrived. He was still couch-surfing, and it was getting a bit annoying, especially with the insomnia G seemed to be suffering from.
This didn't prepare him for entering his kitchen to G in his shirt and boxers dancing around to music on his phone earbuds. It was obviously an up-beat song, and then...G started belting the chorus...
"G," was as much as he got out before a paring knife lodged in the doorjamb.
"Oh, sorry, Sam."
"Rocky Horror? Really, G?"
"Its a guilty pleasure."
"Right..."
7) My Generation-The Who Sherlock (John-PG)
John was hiding from his father right now, as he'd been witness to a VERY loud and acrimonious argument between Harry and their father. He was blasting the CD player to drown out his own thoughts. Then Harry's favorite Who song came on.
It got him thinking. His father was quite old for having kids his and Harry's ages, maybe it was just a matter of being part of a generation that didn't see the need for diversity in all things? Harry wasn't hurting anyone, having a girlfriend, other than a few boys being disappointed that such a great girl wouldn't like them back. He still thought she was the coolest girl around, and he'd make sure she knew that, if she ever came back to the house.
8) There's a Fine, Fine Line-Ave Q Broadway Cast HP (Hermione POV)
Hermione was sulking in the library again. She had just walked in on Ron with Lavender, snogging. She thought she'd made her interest clear back in 4th year, but Ron was so THICK!! She finally stormed off, giving up on homework for the moment, to go to the RoR. She asked for a room that would play a song related to her state of mind. What was strange is it was a song she'd never heard before, but when it was over, she felt better, and realized she'd have to be more proactive...she'd have to fight for him.
9) Prelude Op 28, #15 in D (Raindrops)- Chopin Covert Affairs (Auggie)
He was starting to lose memories of how things looked, so movies weren't much fun anymore, as he couldn't remember how given people looked sometimes. His refuge was music. Yes, Mingus was fun for goofing off at work, but when he was at home, when Liza was off doing her thing, he put on classical music, the really evocative stuff. For some reason, the images provoked by music didn't fade like uncued vision. When he'd moved into this apartment, after he finished orienteering and occupational training, he'd fitted the place with a top of the line stereo and PolkAudio speakers, making his living room into a concert hall. The neighbors might get annoyed occasionally, but he could live with a few phone calls from the super if he could unwind...sitting on his couch, head flopped backwards, both palms facing the ceiling, and just bask in notes. It was the only pleasant type of drowning.
(In case anyone wants to know, these speakers are really nice aurally, and are sculptural towers. Seem very Auggie)
10) I Can't Make you Love Me- Bonnie Raitt HP (Ginny POV, Harry/Ginny, Harry/Cedric)
She'd wanted Harry to be hers for years, even before she met him. They'd dated for a while, and she'd moved into Grimmauld a month ago. She'd returned from an away game with the Harpies to find Harry asleep in the parlor. She initially thought he'd been waiting up for her, so she went in to wake him.
Entering the room, she saw that Harry clutched an old photo from the Prophet, one of the two Hogwart's champions, and there were tear-tracks on his face. She realized the date, June 24th. Nudging his hand, she found another photo, the perspective a bit off, as if a Levitation charm had held the camera. Harry and Cedric were kissing, and not in the 'caught under mistletoe with a friend' way, but sweetly, reverently. Cedric was cradling Harry's cheeks, Harry nipping at his lips. Then she realized...Harry was a widower before marriage. She'd always be second best.
She wrote a short note and packed her essentials, flooing to the Burrow.
Harry- I wish we could have been more, but a first love is sacred. Looking back, you were an unsubstantiated crush. I wish you could have had him forever. -Ginny
