Things that have happened since Field Work Term started:

1. My parents have been remarkably inconsistent about what we have money for and what we don't. Money to live in the same state as my job? NO. $10 every day for parking vaguely near a train station more than an hour away, on top of $275 per month for a train ticket, and the money I have to ( Read more... )

I have a suggestion for you re:11 year old cousin.

Whenever he's like "MADS WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO TOGETHER TONIGHT." you just respond:

"The same thing we do every night Pinky... TRY TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD!"

Had a similar experience with Atlantic City once. Stayed in a hotel full of old people gambling away their retirement money. Walkers with tennis balls everywhere. Also it rained and it was cold, so the beach was a no go.

Only good thing about that place would have to be the Rainforest Café. :| Other than that it's always best to say a trip to Atlantic City never happened.

TO GET TO OUR ROOM? YOU HAD TO WALK PAST THE EMERGENCY CASH LOAN COUNTER. WHERE PEOPLE GO WHEN THEY HAVE LITERALLY GAMBLED AWAY EVERYTHING THEY OWN. THERE WAS ALWAYS SOMEONE USING IT.

Also I liked the Rainforest Cafe until we ate at the one in Las Vegas (which is a MUCH better vacation) and the chicken nuggets made me throw up. =|

Eeeew. D: To all of that. PEOPLE WHHHHHY. On the bright side, I guess it's great for the pawn shop economy in the area. Maybe. Idk, the whole place seemed really shady a block or so away from the boardwalk.

Chicken in nugget form can always be a risk, but ♥ D: I usually get the coconut shrimp and that's good most of the time. Then again I have a natural coconut shrimp bias. Unless they burn it. And actually you could probably get that just as good anywhere. :|
