Sad day

My cat was put to sleep this morning. Her heart has slowly been failing over the last month. She was a very good cat, and I will miss her terribly, especially when I come home from class and she isn't lazing under the bushes waiting to see me so she can come inside ( Read more... )

I'm very sorry to hear it. I can't imagine loosing one of our cats. They are our children.

I am so, so deeply sorry.
Her Majesty is having her own health issues, and I know I will have to go through this as well, but that doesn't make the pain of hearing about your loss any less heartbreaking.

I'm curled up in a nose-tail-ball with you, in the Zen place.

Thanks sweetie, that means a lot. My friend Julie reminded me of the George Carlin quote about dogs, and it helps. Maybe it can help you too.

"I love my dog. I love ALL my dogs. Every dog I ever had, I still love 'em. And in my life, believe me, I have had me a bunch of damn dogs. Because you keep gettin' a new one, don't ya? It's true. As life goes on, you keep gettin' one new dog after another. That's the whole secret of life. Life is a series of dogs."

It warms my heart to see how much you love your cat, and how good you are treating her. She is truly a lucky cat to be around people who love her so much.

That is an awesome quote. Stupid small mammals with their cuteness and unconditional love and short lifespans.

Thank you. She's better off, she was just in so much pain. I wish I could have been there to say goodbye, but the vet loved her almost as much as I did so I'm sure he helped to keep her from being too scared.

Thanks. It's sad, but I'm just glad she's not in pain anymore.
