Paul was always my favourite Beatle (in the days when people had favourite Beatles LOL). I have never understood why he gets so much...if not hate...then dismissal. I liked John, but he always struck me as the type that would be a bully (I have no idea why I thought this).
I remember one of my friends once said that he didn't like McCartney's music because he "sold out". Whatever the hell that means. I think he's a musician, not a spy, so not sure how he could sell out. Also, I think he has the right to produce any music HE wants to. He's done the hard yards. Let's be honest, he might enjoy the accolades etc but he really doesn't do it for the money, the lucky duck.
Glad you enjoyed the album and thanks for the review. I might see if I can get the album today. Long live Paul!
Well, I guess I have to check this album out, then. :)
I admit, I haven't followed Paul's solo career very diligently since Flowers in the Dirt, so I hadn't even heard of many of the other albums you mentioned. The fact that New was compared to Flowers is enough to get my attention.

Hm, maybe I should check out Flaming Pie, too.
