Got myself on the BT fibre to Home trial! Had it for a week now and my god its fast. All those things I couldn't do before, I now can, like watching streaming video in any def without the swirly circle thing! Download programs from iplayer in no time. Result! There is no going back.

Coolio. Virgin is fibre to the cabinet so you're good for the Futture! Do you know what rates you're gettup upstream and downstream?

That is a good question. In theory 100mb down and 15mb up but there are so many factors that can slow this down. So far the best download speed I've seen was 32mbs downloading HD Frozen Planet episode for BBC iplayer, took 2 mins.

So what ever it is, it's a massive improvement on previous land line 1Mb down and 0.4 up. Also free at the moment, waiting to see what the options and pricing will be. Not sure I really need 100mb download speed, not sure there is anything at requires that and me and Dorothy don't use the net that much.

I did read somewhere at BT are going to be able to jack the speed up to 300mb!!!!!
