1. Whitney called a bit ago and we conversed as she walked home from the transit, after one of her two summer classes. It was nice to hear her voice, and catch up a bit on things. I miss her. Jasper seems to be adjusting well to his new surroundings and stays up until the last person heads off to bed. I miss him too

5. My bean plants are doing lousy. I planted two varieties and neither is doing well.
6. Having cool air at night sounds heavenly -- I can't remember last time I spent a summer night sleeping with windows open.

I think I'm doing okay.
I hate doing windows too, so...I think I'll pass.
It was too cool last night to have windows open, as it dipped to 47 degrees overnight...brrr...this is June!

7. I used to make quilts, lots of them. I was even involved in a quilt guild. Someday I'll get back to it. I still have shelves full of fabric downstairs, well, maybe it's just "baskets" full of fabric, waiting to be cut and sewed back together.

I have lots of fabric as well...I'm attempting to set up a sewing area in the finished room in the basement. Slow progress though. Also, the hubby wants to move the washer and dryer down.

Do you do hand quilting or machine?

I have done both hand quilting and machine quilting. I used to do a lot of free-style machine quilting, which looked a lot like hand quilting, with patterns rather than straight stitches. How about you?

I haven't tried the free~style yet...maybe this time, if I can find the 'foot' I purchased ages ago.
