Oh let the sun beat down upon my face

I think I listened to Kashmir every day on the schoolbus my freshman year of high school. The bass filled me with anger, and the words gave me hope for better things. The song would end precisely as the bus pulled into the school's lot. I pulled my headphones from my ears exhilarated, almost optimistic.

I still love this song.

I have absolutely nothing to say in regard to your post. I just wanted to go "bloop!"

That remains my favorite Zep song - and I don't currently have a copy :( (I have no way to play my albums.) Another to add to the "CDs I must buy" list.

I was always attracted to the drumming on the song. Bonzo's fierce yet demure pounding makes that the definitive Zep moment as far as I am concerned.

I listened to Tori Amos' Crucify and Pet Shop Boys' This must be the place I waited years to leave all the way through my difficult teenage years.

I hear those songs, and I'm 16 again, walking down Ste-Catherine street, the wind whipping my old black wool coat and the moon streaming down onto my depression.
