Yep, I'm still alive. It's so strange to be reading my LJ again after all these years, but I've missed a lot of you wonderful people, so I decided to see who's still around ( Read more... )

Hi Maeg! It's so nice to hear from you!!! Your dogs are adorable, and it's fantastic to hear you're doing better physically.

Hi there! Pippin is beautiful (that pic of him as a pup is just adorable, and I can see why you chose the name), and it's nice to see him and Elmo together.

I'm sorry you've had such health troubles and for the loss of your dogs, but it's good to see you back online again.

Wow, hi! :D I'm so sorry to hear you've lost Jerry, Angel and Tommy, and that your health took a downturn. But I'm glad you're feeling better now! And, aww, Pippin is adorable, as is Elmo - I'm glad they're getting along.

What a (lovely!) shock to see your name in my inbox again! :D

Pip is adorable. I love the silly look he's giving you in that last pic in Elmo's basket.

Also, I hear you on the gallbladder thing. That pain was nearly as bad as childbirth, ugh.

Hope you are back with us for a good long time!

Oh, you've had gallbladder problems, too? 'Cause, seriously, that hurt like nothing had ever hurt before. I all but fled to the hospital and begged for pain meds, and I absolutely hate hospitals. But thankfully, that's all gone now, together with that annoying little organ.

And it's so good to hear from you again! Glad to see you're still around. Not sure how involved I'll be on lj from now on, but it sure is good to see people again. :-)

I did, yes. I had mine out in 2001. The pain was absolutely awful. I'm glad you got it taken care of.

I was so reluctant to have the surgery, even with all the pain and misery, because I'm just a whimp who hates hospitals and such. But afterwards...after that thing was removed, I just felt so energized and...healthy (for a lack of better word), that I now know having that done was the best thing ever. That stupid thing was messing me up so badly, and I had no idea (save for the throwing up and pain, etc).

Oh wow, it's so good to see you around! I'm glad you started with a proper update, though it's sad (if not unexpected) to hear about you losing so many of the dogs. Your puppy is adorable, and I get why he was a good idea. Lottie's only 8 next year but I can't only have one dog once they get to that kind of age so we are planning a puppy too.

Another one missing a gall bladder here, though it sounds like you had it much, much worse. I almost missed getting married with mine, but that was about it *g*

Anyway, good to see you and I'm glad to hear things are going well! I won't lie, we have worried a bit :)

Yeah, the loss of my doggies hurt, of course, but on the other hand I am very happy to have had them for so long. At some point, you just have to let them go.

And another one with a missing gallbladder! It's so common, apparently. I had no idea before this whole mess started. So glad to be rid of it now, though. It was really messing up my life without me even realizing it.

And what kind of puppy are you considering? Pip's been such a joy to have around. I'm so glad I got him when I did.

And aw...you all needn't have worried. I just needed some time for myself, and when I look back at all the progress I've made over the last few years, I now know that taking a step back from my online life was a good decision to make.

So glad to see you again, and so glad to see you're still around! :-)

Yes, and at least you did let them go when you had to. I've seen people refuse to put their dogs to sleep when it was time and I'd rather see a dozen people tortured than a dog made to keep going when it's in pain. Gah ( ... )

Oh, it must be so nice to have a puppy of one of your own dogs. I don't breed (and only have boys now), but that does seem like such a lovely idea. I hope Lottie pulls through for you ( ... )
