The Price of Peace (HP/LV/SS, NC-17), Chapter 1

Since I'm now 26k words in, and I've got the plot figured out (for the most part), I'll start posting it. I confess...I'm much too excited about this story to just sit on it while I finish writing it. Let me know what you think ( Read more... )

You don't even know how happy I'm right now. It was beautiful and well-written chapter. Honestly I was expecting everything but trying to find a way to make Harry immortal. I love how they have changed through these years and started to care about each other. Also I like the fact that everyone found something to do: Voldemort studies ancient magic, Severus still in love with ingredients and elixirs and Harry as writer - who would think? ;)

So we're going back to Hogwart? And Voldemort... I mean Joseph will be a new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher? Well, it will be interesting :)

Thanks so much! I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed this chapter. And yeah, when you've got a horcrux that can walk and talk, a priority would be to make sure that horcrux doesn't die, I reckon! ;-) Thanks for commenting!

There is NO WAY I am going to be able to read either 'Semblance' or this before I go away for Christmas. So I've got both open in separate tabs, so that I can dive in next month. Yum.

I really should have reread Semblance first because my memory of it is hazy, but really, I couldn't resist this now! Great first chapter, setting things up, and I loved how you weaved the exposition about the last ten years into the story without ever making it feel like exposition. (Not that you would.) It's awesome seeing these characters interacting again and I love that Voldemort still calls Harry "my little Horcrux." ;) Really, really enjoyed this. Man, I'd missed your writing!

Oh, and things aren't going to go very well in Britain, are they? ;)

Thanks so much! I'm glad the exposition didn't stand out much, but I had to set things up a bit for the rest of the story to work. ;-) As for their trip to Britain...if everything went smoothly, it wouldn't be much fun, now would it? :D
