I was trying to think of all the ways that the UWA Student Guild is accountable to the student body, and I really can't think of that many.

Quietly optimistic.

The Student Guild has representative democracy (and a few other, very seldom used, mechanisms). In this, it is very much like, say, the government of the state, or the nation.

I wasn't arguing particularly for or against that proposition - just pointing out that the problems of representative democracy are hardly unique to the UWA Student Guild.
