I just got back from seeing Transfomers with Ivo and while I don't often agree with his taste in movie (*cough*Ghost Rider*cough*) I totally agree with his opinion on this one.

Ivo only knows five and a half naughty words? Insufficient!

I liked the film very much, though Bay's directing style was perhaps a little too obscuring (I could have sworn I saw a robot somewhere in amongst all that flashing, shaky camera work, explosions and smoke). I was impressed at the amount of humour and the acting was surprisingly decent.

I don't mean to sound presumptuous, but I just wanted to offer my services as a layout designer for the Swancon LJ. If you say no, I completely understand. I just thought the layout could do with a bit of spicing up.

Again without the presumptuous; the Community Info page for the community doesn't really say much about Swancon. This isn't something I can fix, as I've only been to one Swancon, but I think it might need a bit of elaboration.

I'm sorry if I've offended you or anything, that wasn't my aim. If you tell me to piss off, I promise I will. Just wanted to put my two cents in. And offer to design the layout.

Sounds like a really good idea (for both the layout and the addition to the community info), but I'm currently in a place where I'd be unable to enable you to do such a thing. Might I suggest having a chat to leahcim? He's got maintainer access, is on the current con committee, and you have my full blessing if he's wary about that.
