A Revolution in Green

Revolution in Green

In support of the Iranians protesting the outcome of Iran's Presidential election.

If Everyone Cared

If everyone cared and nobody cried,
If everyone loved and nobody lied,
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride,
We'd see the day, when nobody died.

Get Up, Stand Up

You can fool some people sometimes,
But you can't fool all the people all the time.
So now we see the light (what you gonna do?),
We gonna stand up for our rights! (yeah, yeah, yeah!)

Stand my Ground

Though this might just be the ending,
Of the life I held so dear,
But I wont run,
There's no turning back from here,
Stand my ground.
...
If I don't make it,
Someone else will.
Stand my ground.
All I know for sure is I'm trying,
I will always stand my ground.

I Know Where I've Been

There's a dream,
In the future.
There's a struggle,
That we have yet to win.

World on Fire

The world's on fire and
It's more than I can handle.
I'll tap into the water,
(I try to pull my ship).
I try to bring more,
More than I can handle.
(Bring it to the table),
Bring what I am able.
I watch the heavens and I find a calling,
Something I can do to change this moment.

Compassion

{Instrumental}

Because We Believe

Non arrenderti.
Qualcuno.
{Don't give up.
Someone is with you.}

Hope for the Hopeless

Making the best of it,
Playing the hand you get.
Well, you're not alone in this.
There's hope for the hopeless.
There's hope for the hopeless.
There's hope.

Redemption Song

How long shall they kill our prophets,
While we stand aside and look?
Yes, some say it's just a part of it,
We've got to fulfill the book
Won't you help to sing,
These songs of freedom?
Redemption song.

Tonight there is a Green Revolution.{The post that inspired the name of the mix.}
.
This is so much more than about a rigged election.
This is about basic human rights: the right to protest, the right to vote, the right to have a decision in your country, the right to have an opinion about your government.

.
Stand With Free Iran
