So Clint and I have gone out a few times, and we've really enjoyed ourselves.  He's slowly opening up to me, and I like what I see more and more.  So today I asked him to lunch, and I saw him walking out of his building.  I jumped behind him (like I do to everyone) and somehow segued my way into saying

YAY! This proves I was right, but yay! I'm glad things went well for you. He could easily also just be really bashful though, so he may well just open up in time, especially if you're making it "official".
