I've migrated pretty much exclusively over to Facebook, even though I still check my friends list most days. I just don't feel like I have a lot to say on LJ any more, plus I don't want to talk about work here, which is the dominant concern in my life at the moment. I miss so many of you guys; I especially can't wait to see my gaming gang again, ( Read more... )

Oh hey, yeah. I'm supposed to heckle you while you're in Santa Fe. I'm terrible at heckling, so would you settle for a nice wave and a "hi"?

(Unless you've already come and gone in Santa Fe, in which case, booooooo.)

I would quite enjoy a nice wave and a hi! I will be in Santa Fe from 30th October to 4th November, and it would be lovely to meet up (although the conference days are quite long, so we'll have to coordinate based on that).

Neat! I will be around for all of that, and will likely have mealtimes available for saying hi and maybe hanging outs. And I sort of assume you will have mealtimes? I mean, they can't starve you guys. So yeah, email me or something around then and we'll figure something out. (Shockingly, I can be found at cerulean.sky @ gmail.com. :D)

I miss you toooooo! But you're all grown up and getting married and moving away! I'm so proud of you, which is silly really, because I still think of you as this tiny undergrad just starting out at Uni and you've grown so much.

I'm more present on LJ because FB is blocked over here. When I change jobs, I might not be online in both much though, at least not at first :( Time at home is too scarce to be online much unfortunately. I see an occasion FB post by you, but I comment rarely there.

I can imagine that you feel melancholy. Marriages and children are huge changes in peoples' lives.

I miss you too! Tom went to Ireland a few days ago and I thought about my trip so much and how I miss everyone and how great it was to meet you all! And here you are! :D

I fully approve of you neglecting your online buddies in favour of your adorable children. *hugs* I saw the picture of Ireland you posted and it made me very homesick. If you went back, though, I'd still be in Leeds. All three of us are in England now, me up here and arachanster and deannawol down in Derby.

I'm checking LJ as much as facebook (not really active on either), but we could keep in touch over facebook, too. I don't use it for anything fandom-related, though, since it's under my real name with all strings attached (some toddler pics, very little about work). Mostly to keep contact to family and people overseas whom I don't see and who don't use blogs.

Time flies definitely... I think weddings really leave an impression because they are traditionally such big events for most people. On the other hand, it doesn't change as much as the impression suggests. The people are still the ones you know and have known, they've just chosen to give their monogamy a seal. ;-)
