This has been mulling around in my head for months and months. I think I'm ready to end my run with the Cam. It's been a long run, which has been amazing and devastating, and it has allowed me to meet and interact with an amazing and ecclectic group of people, many of whom have had a profound impact on my life. But I just can't justify being a

In all seriousness, these things go in cycles, don't they? I mean, there are times when it takes a lot more than other times and it seems that it is sooooooooo not worth it. YOu could always do what others have done, put your character in torpor for a while.

It might not be an option you want to take.
It might not be an option that Nick would take.
But it IS an option.

However, I'm going to skip to the part that is perhaps overdone, but none-the-less true, I'll miss having you around at the Requiem games. :(

I see that you enjoy some aspects of play but you have that problem of playing high profile and there for are impacted by these things that are problematic.
So create another character that's not high profile, one that satisfies your desires as a role player with out worrying about status, or leadership. One that doesn't do crazy stuff something built for one on one RP and I think you'd get the enjoyment of the LARP intensity, with out the headache of a larger than local game.

I'd like to offer you a slot as one of the childer of the character I'm bringing into play. I'll help you craft a minimal PC on PC conflict character that doesn't have some of the hangups that you're having problems with in the game. If you want it's open to you.

To keep a character interesting, you have to have goals. To keep a character involved, those goals need to somehow relate to other characters in the game. Those other characters are in no way obliged to help with those goals. Thus, confrontation erupts.
This is why I like the tabletop games like D&D so much more nowadays. The group, while perhaps having different agendas, have a similar overall goal they work towards.
Now if you have some brilliant plan that circumvents this problem, I'll hear you out. But color me skeptical. :)

therefore your looking for bad guys and hunting for the monster of the week most of the time, you look for struggles. I've even got a great crone mindset fot eh PC a very much 'I'm testing myself to make my ability to cope stronger' sort of path of lilith non teacher philosophy.
Makes you become the guy to go to when investigating the goings ons in the city with out being the guy to become sherrif or something silly like one of those jobs.
I've got several other ideas that link into this. Basicaly a group that has a political agenda so that if the PC runs into a political conflict it's got a backup that handles the PR while it looks on and doesn't care.

Finally I got a driving goal for a character, and I need help to make it happen. I'm talking about creating a movement icly -- if you are interested, I am just starting this...
I miss the ole giovanni days, I posted on someone elses journal about it yesterday - where there were many roles and the whole group together was way better than any individual. (sorry Mark, the Giovanni was WAY better than Amatto ever was)
Could it be like that? Could we create a something like that again? I'd like to think we could, if we bucked the system and just did it.
Comeon Matt!!....
