So, I managed to make it through the first week without missing a gym or taekwondo session. It was less painful at the end of the week than it was at the beginning. On Monday AM, I thought I had made a huge mistake and was going to die before I hit the 5 minute mark. On Monday night, I was pretty certain I was going to die before the end of TKD class, and it was only a 1 hour class!
Wednesday I wasn't walking too fast at all. I think I looked like I'd just gotten off a horse after a cross country ride. I ran out of steam while sparring on Thursday night and did my best not to gasp for air.
However, I did manage to make it to the gym on Friday morning and do a 2 min/1min walk/run for the entire 30 minutes.
Other related health-things this week: I took my multivitamin, drank my greens+, and did my situps and pushups every day without missing one. It's minor but I haven't managed to do this before, so I'm happy about it. School starts next week so I wanted to get into a routine before adding that stress to it.
Food-wise, this week has been pretty boring as I've been chipping away at leftovers and not cooking too much. Although, I did make a turkey curry last night that worked out pretty well. I will write up the recipe in another post.
Energy-wise, I'm in a lull right now but I've had points this week where I was bouncing off the walls. I haven't had caffeine since before this challenge started, so I think that's definitely a good thing.
Anyways, to the measurements: I am down 9 pounds and up 0.25". 43 pounds to go!
