Last night, I experienced the inevitable reality that there are negative aspects that result from being a foreigner in Korea. And I will never be accepted as an equal here. Angelo, I forgot to tell you that when I was stationed in Korea, I was not welcome in some bars because people thought I was Japanese. I don't blame the Koreans for having "Korea Only Clubs". As GI's we took over lots of bars and never considered how the locals felt. Hang in there.

Hi Angelo, It's your cousin Jeannie.......I'm sorry about your experience, but we live in a very strange world and even though we have prejudice in the US.....we must be very thankful for the rights and freedom we have here.

Be careful though because it is necessary to respect and adhere to all the rules, laws, and customs that are foreign, even though they are wrong.

Valerie is getting ready for her Semester at Sea and I am very worried about the way Americans are viewed presently. The world can be very fascinating but also very cruel. Hang in there-enjoy the good things and brush aside the negative, just learn from it and move ahead. Stay Safe...God Bless!!!
