One of my favorite things in the world besides strawberry-flavored Gushers and rediscovering old vinyl records has always been the process of getting to know people. Somewhere between the first glances and the growing old together, you start to realize what makes a person tick. You dive head-first into their vices and their idiosyncrasies. You

The quote on my desk right now is, "You don't need a reason to forgive," she says. "If you want to go on with someone, that is what you do." Pg 68 of The Girl's Guide to Hunting and Fishing. If you like my writing, you would love that book.

I have a quote book that I jot everything worth remembering down in. Usually I'm so rushed to write it down before it escapes the confines of my memory that my handwriting becomes nothing short of illegible. A lot of my efforts are in vain. I just wrote that one down, though, and I'm more than happy to take your suggestion. In return, something terribly eloquent and classic:
Bart's Blackboard Quotations
1) I am not deliciously savvy.
2) There are many businesses like show business.
3) I will not spank others.
4) I will not hide behind the 5th Amendment.
5) I will finish what I start.

I have re-read The Girl's Guide so many times that the pages are falling out and I've only had the book for two years. I take it with me everywhere and I constantly lose and waste a day pulling everything from under the bed, in the drawers, and off the shelves to find it again.. but it's usually resting right in front of my nose and I've managed to overlook it. I can remember a quote that I like and turn to the appropriate chapter just by memorizing the thickness of pages by importance of quote.

I've never even heard of it before, is that blasphemous? I'm awfully intrigued now, though, so I'm going to begin the hunt for it as soon as time allows. I'll let you know how it is, page by page. That might get awfully redundant but who's keeping track? Quote me again.
