My favorite musical choice yet! Marry me Z

One of my favorite things in the world besides strawberry-flavored Gushers and rediscovering old vinyl records has always been the process of getting to know people. Somewhere between the first glances and the growing old together, you start to realize what makes a person tick. You dive head-first into their vices and their idiosyncrasies. You ( Read more... )

We are undercover passion on the run, chasing love up against the sun. We are strangers by day, lovers by night. Knowing it’s so wrong, but feeling so right

In short: yes.

I like standing in the steam of a shower until I almost can't breathe. Instead of marking favourite passages with post-its, I write the quotes on them and stick them around my desk and so when I'm working I can look down, find a quote, and be reminded of how much I love the world at times. At the club I dance within a big group of girlfriends and they keep out any guys whom might try to hit on me. Sometimes I get really introspective and spiritual and that's when I take a moment to stop and laugh at myself because things aren't always as complicated as they seem. I like all music, save for hard rap or loud metal. You should listen to Rufus Wainwright because I think you would appreciate him most.

The quote on my desk right now is, "You don't need a reason to forgive," she says. "If you want to go on with someone, that is what you do." Pg 68 of The Girl's Guide to Hunting and Fishing. If you like my writing, you would love that book.

Why didn't we start talking sooner? I don't like screaming in music because it makes me nervous and I appreciate Instant Pleasure more than most people will ever realize.

I have a quote book that I jot everything worth remembering down in. Usually I'm so rushed to write it down before it escapes the confines of my memory that my handwriting becomes nothing short of illegible. A lot of my efforts are in vain. I just wrote that one down, though, and I'm more than happy to take your suggestion. In return, something terribly eloquent and classic:
Bart's Blackboard Quotations
1) I am not deliciously savvy.
2) There are many businesses like show business.
3) I will not spank others.
4) I will not hide behind the 5th Amendment.
5) I will finish what I start.

Maybe the opportunities were never right until now. The world is in perfect balance now, etc etc.

I have re-read The Girl's Guide so many times that the pages are falling out and I've only had the book for two years. I take it with me everywhere and I constantly lose and waste a day pulling everything from under the bed, in the drawers, and off the shelves to find it again.. but it's usually resting right in front of my nose and I've managed to overlook it. I can remember a quote that I like and turn to the appropriate chapter just by memorizing the thickness of pages by importance of quote.

I think the stars are aligning, personally.

I've never even heard of it before, is that blasphemous? I'm awfully intrigued now, though, so I'm going to begin the hunt for it as soon as time allows. I'll let you know how it is, page by page. That might get awfully redundant but who's keeping track? Quote me again.

I like to switch it up every now and then, but it's very much dependent on my mood.

I was so excited to see you! You have amazing musical taste, Jurassic 5 and Miles Davis being two of my favorites. I also loved this post, I wish people would take the time to write down little things like this more often because they're my favorite kind of reads.

No matter what, I will always have "What's Golden" and the entire Kind of Blue album. I was worried that it would sound cliche and contrived but I'm especially glad that you enjoyed it. Come over sometime, we can bake cookies and listen to good music.
