What a week....
...okay, so a semi-real update from me... I know, a shock, huh?
Anyway.... last Wednesday I got a call from a recruiter in Atlanta who wanted to talk to me and asked if I could be down for a chat the next day. I hopped in the car and headed down, crashing with the most generous trio of inifinti666, thumper341, and cearafox. Thanks yet again y'all....
Thursday saw me at an "interview" with the recruiting firm. It started at 9... and ended around 2pm. :-) They asked if I would be willing to stick around until Friday, if they could get me any interviews.... I agreed and the trio graciously let me stick around. Around 5:30 that night, I guess, I got a call. They had managed for me to have an interview with McKesson for Friday, but they wouldn't be able to tell me when, exactly, until sometime on Friday (I was to be ready for anything after 11 am).
The interview wound up being at 2pm.... and lasted until around 4:30. In general, I think it went really well, but I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much (just in case it doesn't work out).
Sounds like decisions will be made by the end of the week... so start praying, crossing fingers, sending karma and anything else ya got my way :-)
Anyway... that's the "business" part.... then there were the social things.... so:
Wed night: Got in too late to do anything really...
Thursday night: Dinner, cooked by thumper341 ... attended by Laura, Tony and Andrew (my apologies for not knowing their lj's, if they have one). Much good food and wine was had... nice to just hang out and relax.
Friday night: Dinner with thumper341 and cearafox, then chill at the house a bit, waiting for people to get back home then watching the 200th episode of SG. Funny!
Saturday: I got kidnapped to go fabric shoppting by cearafox and cricketbug, then chilled at the house, then off to go clubing (yes, gentle reader, I have been to a goth club now) heh.
Music, dancing (by others) and drinks were had... it was fun. I didn't care too much where we went or what we did, just wanted to hang out with friends.... I'd list the people that were there, but there were simply too many :-) edit: princessdiablo demanded her due and wanted it noted that she was one of the ones there.... with her hat. ;-)
Sunday... had lunch with all those lj's listed above plus galangg at a mexican place before heading home.....
Much fun had all weekend and it was great to see so many that I hadn't had the chance to in WAY too long. Thanks all :-)
