закончившийся год и каникулы

в последнее время я редко постю что-либо в жж и совсем уж редко пишу по-русски, но вот сейчас начиталась френд ленты и захотелось тоже подбить какие-то итоги и сказать пару слов про каникулы.

Этот год для меня был хорошим.

Ha! You are trying to kill me with all this Russian to translate today! But I get a general gist of your long review of 2009, aided by already knowing much of what you did ... LOL!

When you come to Britain again - and you will! - we'll go to the London galleries together, and you will be able to impress me with your new knowledge about all the art. It is a pity that we did not have more time in Edinburgh to visit the collections there. Another city visit is required sometime perhaps ... :-)

I am enjoying the little piece of parallel fic reading which you sent. Will be replying via email shortly. :-)

Am slowly catching up with you on films having seen SH at last! :-))

Oh my God, P! I didn't mean to kill you, I need you alive and kicking! For some strange and silly reason I wasn't taking you into consideration when writing all this. Poor you, aaaw) I'm scared of the thought of you totally puzzled with my own specific way of speaking Russian and using modern slang. And - it's a big lol of course how you order me to go back to UK *joking!* - "When you come to Britain again - and you will! " ))))))))) Yes, I gladly will! Money *cough* permitting *cough*...

Have done the next part of translation and must say that I'm liking it immensly! Will send it to you probably tomorrow.

Well I am supposed to be kick-starting my language practice, so no need to apologise! Your ЖЖ writing comes over as quite disjointed to me, but I do get an overall idea and feeling from it, even though I don't understand all by any means.

The unusually long snowy spell (Siberian winds I suspect, which have already passed over your way!) means that it would be foolhardy to attempt a solo drive to Scotland next week. The forecast is for the arctic conditions to continue for at least another ten days. In this country, even the trains can't be relied upon to run as timetabled in adverse weather, so no point planning to go by rail either. I'm very glad of your new project to cheer me under the circumstances. We'll do a swap tomorrow, because I'm sending you back part one of the translation with my (very few) amendments. I look forward to receiving some more of the fic from you. :-)

that snowy spell comes from Arctic, not from Siberia) Yes, I've seen it in the news how big a problem it is for the UK, even bigger than for the continental Europe. So are you saying that you're not driving to Ed and not going there by other means of transport either?

Подведение итогов года - штука хорошая тем, что если становится вдруг печально и кажется, что все идет "не так", можно перечитать пост и понять, что ты - ого-го ;)
