Stupid things I download on stupid Kazaa won't open in stupid RealJukebox now. This happened randomly, for no apparent reason as far as I can see. Very, very, VERY upsetting. If any computer-savvy people reading this have any inkling as to what the HELL is going on, please let me know so that I can fix it and once again have happy downloading ( Read more... )

Get Winamp. It'll play anything and is less bloated (which means it makes the program itself and your entire computer run about twice to thrice as fast while you're using it) than Realplayer. Uninstall Realplayer completely...it's old stuff from the internet's early days that just doesn't cut it anymore.

No, I've seen wimamp, and I like RealJukebox better. It makes me happy. And I think whatever it was is fixed now...I hope.

No, get UltraPlayer. It has never caused me any problems at all and even uses other programs' codecs (such as DivX) to play absolutely anything without opening other programs. Katie is right--RealJukebox sucks.
Perhaps you could also scan your computer for viruses/bots and defragment the hard drive to keep things running more smoothly.
By the way, I often sound lots more knowledgeable about computers than I actually am because I can ask Jörg and then parrot that information to others. Wheee... I like being a conduit. -=Mely=-
