Beautiful :) I know what you're saying. I live about an hour from New York City and my area is pretty suburban, but it's seen a lot of sprawl lately so it almost feels like the city at times. When I was married, we moved about an hour and a half north of the city and it was quite nice and rural. A lot more peaceful, though the neighborhood we lived in was very isolated. Except for condos across the road, it felt like our nearest neighbor was a mile away. I liked how peaceful it was, but it could get lonely with my ex-husband working late most of the time and no one really around.
I guess I'm more of a suburbanite than anything else but I've never lived in the typical cul du sac. My parents always had a couple acres. So I'm not really sure what I'd call myself. Maybe that is why I feel like I can blend in to either being in the city or in the country.=)
