I don't know if I've posted this before. I've been trying not to repeat previous poem-posts, even ones that didn't occur this month - which is the absolute only reason I haven't posted this yet.

In any event, I haven't found this in my archives, so I hope it's new to you.

I don't know if I ever told told you I wrote a villaneau in highschool.... It was a deliberate attempt to break me out of that typical Hallmark a/b, c/b rythym that comes easily to me. I need to dig it out at some point as I no longer have it memorized, but the first verse was "'A flame is not evil, it purifies the night
Like silken material, it tears and flutters with the heat
You are awakened to a fury of yellow whitel"
