It's not stupid at all, love, and I would have told my children the same thing, if I had any. :)

AS an American, I can't tell you how I feel. Patriotic, sure, but what does that mean? I'm having a hard time with words at the moment, but I know Barack Obama spoke a lot of what's true in my heart - what i hope for this country. What I hope for this country. We can get out of this standstill, and progress as a country again.

It feels good to be an American, and I've never said or felt that before.

Definitely not stupid, darling. Last night was the first time in a long time that I wasn't slightly embarrassed to be American. This was the first presidential election I got to vote in (I missed the last one by 5 months), and just know that my vote counted towards something so monumental is quite amazing. :)
