Hi Colleen! Yes, it's from my garden. It's funny - this is the time of year to prune roses. I took off all but two branches which had buds on them (I know, you should do the whole lot at the same time, but I hate cutting off buds!). This is one of those flowers, and it's sister bud that I "saved". There are a couple more buds to bloom on the other branch before the secateurs come out to prune those last branches off!
Thanks so much for remembering my birthday and that lovely greeting, Maewyn! That is a wonderful rose from your garden. :-)
I've been absent from LJ for the last half year mainly because the art therapist for whom I used to fill in while she's on holiday or being away sick, has broke her leg in January and since then I'm working at the clinic, additionally to my other art projects. I do love my jobs, but there is so little time left for other things... there never seems to be enough time to comment or update my journal. I hope my colleague recovers soon; but as it looks now, her leg will not be quite alright and I doubt that she'll be able to work full-time again. Oh well, time will tell. Thanks again for remembering me! ;-)

I'm glad to know that you are OK and have just been very busy lately. I'm sorry to hear of your colleague's leg. It must have been a really bad break.
Again, I hope you enjoyed your day! :)
