As if we haven't had enough extreme weather conditions lately...

It was hot today.  I was wondering why I didn't have my usual energy when I went for my walk this morning.  I understood when I saw that it was 32C (89.6F) at 7.30 am!  It reached 38C 100.4F at about 10.00 am.  Not only was it hot; it was humid.  I really don't do humid very well.  I hate that feeling when your clothes stick to you - as they are ( Read more... )

Oh my gosh, your summer is terribly hot. I hope you get relief soon.

Thank you. Hard to believe that just three nights ago it was cool enough to pull up a light blanket. Our overhead fan in the bedroom has been working overtime!

Unfortunately, February is usually the hottest month and March tends to be humid, too. :)

I cannot BELIEVE that bloody cyclone is coming down our way. We haven't had one since Alby in 1978! Batten down the hatches, Maewyn!

It's really muggy down here - bet tomorrow will be worse.

I know! I remember Alby well. Laurie's workbench is made from a huge beam that flew over his parents' back fence from the building next door! And of course, it wrecked the Busselton jetty. We'd only been there a couple of months before.

Keep safe.

I was just telling Maewyn, "Peachy's down there, too!" I hope it weakens before making landfall, love. Australia is really getting hammered this month, on both coasts! ((((((Aussies))))))

Good grief, I hope this storm diminishes before it reaches you. I looked on the projected storm path. It looks like Peachy's area's going to get whacked, too. I will be thinking of you both!

Cyclones that come so far south do weaken, but they can still be destructive. I'd really prefer it to keep heading out further west, rather than south-west!

We had light rain around 5.00 am, so it's going to be humid again. The forecast is for 40C temperatures, culminating in thunderstorms. Oh, joy...

Will be drinking lots of water today!

I just checked the Google news for Cyclone Bianca and it said the storm is weakening. It was category 4 when first I checked this afternoon, now it's being called a category 3 and that it will likely weaken further. I hope so!!!!!!!!!!! And it said the cyclone that's been a threat to the east, Anthony, has diminished. Yeah!

[Edit: I don't know HOW I picked that Christmas icon!]

Please weaken and disappear altogether! It would be very much appreciated ( ... )
