Well, the thunderstorm came through about 3.00 pm, bringing lots of rain! We had a river running down the middle of our street - the drains don't cope very well when we have a lot of rain...
We had clear skies at midday, then suddenly things got a bit dark.
Then the rain came down. The lawn got a free watering!
Our paving went under water.
Children can always make the best of a bad situation! Street-surfing!
The temperature had reached 40C at 1.30 pm. It went down to 25C at 4.00 pm and now it's back up to 28C. And humid! I've opened all the doors and windows, trying to coax some coolness into the house.
The thunderstorm wasn't caused by the cyclone. The last time I looked at the satellite image, there was still a gap between the cyclone's clouds and the thunderstorm.

I'm curious to know what we'll get overnight!
