My cacti are suddenly popping out buds all over the place!

These are the moonflower's (Epiphyllum oxypetalum) tiny buds on the 23rd November

Ha ha! I hadn't even noticed the large one that'll be opening soon until just before I took the picture yesterday. Now I can't wait!

Will these buds turn to seeds? Or can they be planted just like that?

After the flowers die, they just fall off after a few days. I've never seen seeds come from them (I've never looked). I'll pay particular attention after this one has flowered.

Some of my cactus-type plants can be grown from a leaf pushed into soil, so it wouldn't matter if they didn't flower. However, I'm very glad they do, because they're beautiful!
