As mentioned in my "Scarlet" post, here are some pictures of the Epiphyllum crenatum flower.

This was taken yesterday morning just after the garden had been watered.  It's one of my favourites.

These are gorgeous images, Maewyn, gorgeous. I just showed them to my husband, who came and looked over my shoulder. I told him where you live and he mused, "I'll bet Perth is a really nice place to live." I said I believed it was. :)

Thank you, Mechtild!

Yes, it's a nice place to live, but when it's as hot as it was yesterday, it gets a bit uncomfortable!

Thank you, Pearl! No, I've never entered any of my photos in a competition. I've seen what goes into those competitions, and my camera isn't up to taking picture of that standard!

I hope you feel better soon. It's really miserable when you've got a cold. I don't know if you'd be feeling any better with the weather we had yesterday. It was our first really hot day at 38°C, with an overnight minimum of 19.9°C! Today (around 1.00 pm) it's 25°C and a bit humid.

No, I can't find another name for the Epiphyllum crenatum. I just call it "the cactus plant". (Very original, I know!) I'm glad that the flower makes you feel good. Feel free to copy and print it if you wish!

I think the insect's head almost looks like it would belong on a fish!

It sounds like your little bird is as wishful as you are that it would soon be Spring!

The droplets really do make a difference, don't they? It makes everything look fresh and clean.
