Oh! What a surprise - thank you, Maewyn! Are those hoya flowers?
I had a lovely day. Went to town for a pedicure and facial in the afternoon, and a bunch of friends came to dinner. My husband cooked some of my favourite dishes from my childhood, and our son - who turned 20 today! - had made a cake. Dinner was a riot; I laughed so hard it hurt! :)
Must go and return the favour and throw together a cake for Dane.
You're welcome! Yes, it's a hoya. The plant used to belong to my Mum. It's quite old. I've had it for 10 years. I've got a photo of my son when he was a tiny baby - that plant is in the background! (He's the one who's getting married on Friday - he's almost 27)!
I'm glad you enjoyed your birthday. I sounds like you had a perfect day!
Congratulations to your son, too! They soon grow up, don't they! :)
They look (and feel) like velvet. Mine has just finished flowering. It's the height of summer here now. Today's very hot. It's 3.30 pm and the temperature is 37.7C (or 100F) right now. Thank goodness for air conditioners!
