illyria_novia gave me purple!
Not all of these are actually purple - shades of mauve, violet and lilac are hopefully acceptable!
I have lots of flower pictures, so here's a collage of just nine

I've read jacaranda mentioned in books and newspaper. I never knew it's so beautiful.
Thanks for the meme, Maewyn. :D

I found the crabs under rocks on our holiday at Kalbarri 18 months ago. The one at the back looks quite large, doesn't it? But they're really quite small (I love my digital camera!).
We had a jacaranda in our garden when I was a child. The flowers bloom before the leaves appear, so all you can see are masses of flowers. In some places, whole streets are lined with jacarandas. They look quite striking.
Thank you for offering the colour purple! At first, I couldn't think of many things (other than the flowers), but I eventually managed to find my 10!

Oh a colour meme - how wonderful !! I love purple too, and could probably find favourite things myself in a number of purpley shades...
I really love your flower photos, especially as a number of flowers you photograph simply aren't available over here !!
Being in an arty, visually creative job, where colour-matching and co-ordinating is essential, I am very colour-orientated, as you can tell from my journals - so many lovely striking pictures...so I will gladly accept a colour from you...

In order from left to right and top to bottom they are: linaria, violet, daisy, "blue" hibiscus (Hibiscus syriacus), hyacinth, walking iris (Neomarica gracilis), hydrangea, society garlic (Tulbaghia violaceae) and blue potato bush (Solanum rantonnetii).
I love your style - and as such, I think you deserve a red! :)
