You ask: Do we train them or do they train us?

When people come to my home, they sometimes ask why the toothpaste is tacked above the kitchen sink, and my brush on the plant shelf. It is because whenever I try to brush my teeth in the bathroom, there is a cat in the sink drinking from the spigot. I suppose in this household, we know who has been trained. :)

HtB said to tell you, "If you have to ask, you don't know cats." :D

My boss's cat realized that she was training him to ride in the car happily by stopping for chicken nuggets. If she doesn't stop for chicken nuggets now, he gets upset.

I think we become very well trained.

Mine sit at the deck door and look pitiful, I feed them. They jump up on the deck table, lay down and roll over, I give them a belly rub. They jump up on the deck table and sit and look at me, I get out the hairbrush.

Yes, I'd say I'm pretty well trained. :D
