The AEC website has a whole listing of "Early Voting" locations. There's even one out at the airport.

But don't you want to see what last minute bribes tax cuts and budget re-allocations pop up to sway your vote? Because of course everyone is waiting until the very last moments to see who's handing out the best goodies! That's how bribing popularity contests democracy works!

I kinda wish I could vote. I feel like I probably know a lot more about what's going on in Australia than the US now. : /

I don't even have my permanent residency visa yet! ; P To be honest I will only go for Australian citizenship if I can hold dual citizenship. As much as I may not be a huge fan of things that go on in the US, but I'm more an American in many ways than I am an Australian, it's where I spent the first 22 years of my life, the place that made me into the person I am, and the place where my family live... aside from Roli and my new Aussie family (the in laws). I think it's also a place that needs change more than Australia, in addition to having more power globally (though that may change as Australia will be on the rise while the resource boom lasts and the US is on the decline right now), and I don't really want to give up the ability to vote for the leader that will probably end up deciding at least some key issues for the country I live in through political bullying and the international "pecking order". Some people, jokingly or not, have proposed that everyone in the world should vote for the US President since he (or perhaps she ( ... )

Australia does offer dual citizenship, but I'm not sure if the US does anymore. :(

Sound reasons for not wanting to make the change though.
