Doing a little better...maybe (not really).

I still feel pretty at loss, it's so strange to be here with no memories, surrounded by people dealing with the same thing. I guess there isn't much I can do about it other than try to adapt as best I can...to a place with no working phones...televisions...computers...and where people randomly hit you in the face with heavy objects, scream at you ( Read more... )

larping?

Ah, I know Vyers-san. He's.. well... he doesn't seem to be a BAD person. And he is not really scary or anything. You could have done worse.

You never know... being a larper could be better than the alternative.

You don't sound very sure, but I suppose I'll take your word for it. As long as he doesn't hit me with anything I'll consider myself lucky, I guess.

The alternative is too strange to think about, at least as a LARPer the worst I'd face is a complete social death...

Well, he gets in fights with Laharl a lot. Which he always seems to lose. And truthfully he can be kind of annoying. But as you've seen, there are worse people out there.

Eheheh, social death is not that bad... well.. yes it is... But you get used to it.

We meet again, shabby and pathetic looking little human. What brings you to my room?

Gak! It's the pointy eared jerk from before!

Er, I live here now.

What's wrong with your outfit? It looks like a perfectly acceptable Sorcerer's garb, probably high ranking from the look of the ornamentation.

U-uh, well...there are a lot of things wrong with what you just said. I mean sorcerers may be common where you're from, but where I come from I'm pretty sure this sort of clothing isn't exactly normal. It just feels awkward and uncomfortable.

(Though I kind of like the idea of being a high ranking sorcerer...)

Well, perhaps it's some other kind of ceremonial garb. It certainly looks like something meant to display a certain rank and station. Perhaps you were taken from some sort of important social function?

I suppose that's plausible. Maybe we're both right and I'm a high ranking LARPer...

(Great, that makes me what, exactly? King of the nerds?)

I'm sorry, I don't think I got your name...?

What's a television?

...Are you serious? Well, I guess it isn't that surprising some people here may not know, sorry. A television is a device used to receive electric or electromagnetic signals and reproduce the images and sounds on a screen. So a program taped one place can be broadcast to another via microwave, satellite, fibre, etc. It's a source of entertainment and information people can bring directly into their home. I guess I became a little accustomed to watching certain programs at certain times, because without a television I'm not quite sure what to do with myself (at least until I get a job).

What do you do in your spare time?
