Bah happy holidays

Ok today was an overall good day, not too much school which means good. However it could have been great had we ended up like Indiana Jones, fighting Nazis, man that would have been fun. Anyhow on the way home i had to stop at the store to pick up some food and while there someone was taking down a sign that said Merry Christmas and replacing it ( Read more... )

I'm pretty sure immigrants or people with other religions are not offended by "Merry Christmas". With all the horrible shit that christians have done to people with other religions, i think they done deal with a simple phrase. It's suburbanite stupid-ass semi-christians, who can't be bothered to go to church because they have to drive around in their yuppy-mobiles shopping for Old Navy sweaters to tie around their necks to fell better than the rest of us.They're so obsessed with making everyone happy and feel included or at least sound like they are. They are the same people who started euphemisms and politically correct bullshit to make people feel better or at least think they do. It's not conservative it's facist. Limiting what people can say because they think they know how people with different cultures feel and think. I think if a jewish person said to a christian "happy hanukkah" i think he'd say the same back not "Fuck that, fuck moses, go christmas, Yeaaah Jesus." It's those pricks who insist on "happy holidays" who are ( ... )

Hmm Jeff so what your saying is that its more of the "soccer Moms" fault. The people that want everyone to love their superficial lives are the people that i should direct my anger towards, right? Well ok i can see that working for some little things, like some small stores and whatnot, however it does little to address the main problem, the media and the schools. For those reasons i blame the Canadian Government.

By definition thats pretty much the exact opposite of conservative. And if you're talking about federal policy than you're wrong, go take a look at Liberal Immigration Policy and you'll see why the political correctness is such a big deal.

Well alright you are right about the Liberals policy. However i did give our MP a call about this time last year asking for an answer to the reason behind this being "Polically correct" only to get a reply from Mr Tilson saying "well i understand and the reason is really up to the people running it"

I agree with your ideas that people shouldn't be offended by Merry Christmases and such. Like really, I don't get offended when I see South Asian women wearing their veils, why should anyone be offended when we display our beliefs? But I honestly don't think it's the immigrants complaining. I go to a very multicultural school and usually everyone's pretty tolerant of everyone else. It's the greedy whites that have a problem. They worry that if they offend the minority, the minority won't shop at their stores and such, and then they wouldn't be maximizing profit. Damn consumerism.
