Haven't used LJ in a long time. There have been so many changes to it and I haven't been able to access it on the normal way. Hope this gets me back on track. Too much Facebook takes up a lot of time. I would like to keep using my account. Dealing with cooler weather, Muni sick-out, voting, pledge nights confusing my tv schedule...and somehow I have managed to scramble my sleep schedule (get up early just ONE day!). Olympics, etc.
I am not a big sports nut but the Olympics always draws me in. The chance to hear a variety of anthems and learn a bit of history of the participating countries. The opening any closing spectacles are always exciting. I will suddenly find myself glued to speed skating or luge, maybe because they are only on every 4 years. The last Tonight Show with Jay.... I saw the first one, watched the last one with Johnny Carson, was it that long ago?? As I get older I appreciate the opportunities to gather memories, and know when seasonal things come along. Same as before, getting to some events-Mists Investiture, Boar Hunt, Dickens Fair, bustle tea, 12th night, GBACG open house, provincial and shire meetings, TX & Xmas with family. Birthday rememberance
My father's 87th birthday would have been yesterday. Sat and sniffled a bit. I wonder what he might have given up due to age, and what he would be doing in spite of age if he were still around. I miss him every day. -
