How to Pray in the Face of Evil and Pain

There are five responses in the face of evil:

1. God, save us!
2. God, judge them!
3. God, forgive them!
4. God forgive us as we forgive others!
5. God, glorify Yourself.

All five are biblical.

How do you respond to the suffering and evil that comes to your life?

In suffereing (losing close friends/loved ones) I'd like to think I'd be able to pray like Job and whole-heartedly mean it: The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord!

What about when you're being treated unjustly and that injustice means that life isn't going to continue for you in the way you had hoped?

Fuzz, I should have said more in my first response to you and that is that I think that's an awesome way to pray when losing close friends and loved ones. I too aspire to that.
