oh god ingrid, i can't imagine how bad that was. i had a uti once and i can't imagine how much passing a kidney stone would suck. plus, emergency rooms are awful.
It was awful, and it was so cold there especially since I had on the standard hospital gown. I was very worried at the time, but am glad now that it is over with, and I didn't have to have any surgery.
Hopefully...but I was looking up information about it online, and they said after you have one it's very common to get more in the future. I also learned that there are 7-21 cases per 10,000 people every year (lucky me), 80% are men (not I), and most get them in their 30s and 40s (also not i).
Yikes. That'll teach you to eat all that healthy food!
Ever see Sleeper? I always liked the part where scientists of the future were shocked that we thought wheat germ was healthy, when, in reality, steak, fudge, etc. are "the best things for you".
No, I haven't, sounds interesting. That reminds me of something I read once that when future civilizations dig up our graves, and find the reminders of implants..."seems to me that they were inserted under the skin while the person was still alive. What a primitive culture." Random, yeah.
