[Well, Asad is a bit late in coming back from the draft. Just a little delay thanks to well, dying out there.

Anyone passing through the plaza may notice the odd sight of the redheaded man sleeping on a bench. And then a bit later he rolls over and falls off the bench.

As if he wasn't sore enough.]Aaaugh! ....What in the...? ...How did I get ( Read more... )

Hey, Asad, think you could hold on for a bit? Jale's looking for the only healer in their group before he comes to pick you up.

And by a bit he really means ten minutes.]

[Yes, he would appreciate not dying again. But sadly, Asad isn't aware of how bad of a cook Marica is from experience like you do, Jale, so sadly he can't help much there.]

You actually have figured out how to use all those things in the kitchen already?

[Best help you're getting from him, because dang, he still hasn't figured out all that very well yet. But hey, attempt to fix is working, he's smiling a bit now.]

Well... I haven't really tried them yet, but you know what Sieg always says!

And it's fine, Jale, I have all the time I need to get used to this place.

[She's getting pumped up!!]

[D: No, she's encouraged, the situation seems to be getting worse and worse...]

Do you really want to experiment with things that could burn the house down?

[Sorry, Jale! Though mentioning burning the house down just ruined what progress the attempt was making.]

Whatever you two decide is fine. I really think I need rest more than food.

[She spins around as she walks so that she can look at Jale.] Burn the house down? It can't be that dangerous, right? And if worse comes to worst, all I is need a knife and a fire.

[Marica, don't walk backwards into any trees, okay?]

There's no hearth, Marica.

[Can't cook if you don't have a hearth and don't know how to light the stove, ri- Asad?]

... You sure?

I'm sure. Just warn me if it looks like Marica is going to burn down the house.

[And will keep on walking, hopefully Marica isn't going to run into any trees. Or fall into a trash can..]

Hm... In that case, maybe I'll save the feast for when you're feeling better, then. [You alone are not worth the party, Jale. I HOPE YOU'RE HAPPY WITH THAT. And now she turns around to walk facing forward again.]

But if you need anything at all, just let us know. We want you back in full health as soon as possible.

Mm. [After nodding in agreement with the healer's statement, Jale reverts to his usual, taciturn self.

And yes. He's very happy with that, Marica. B)]

[Good, we don't need you going and running into a tree, Marica.]

I'll be fine. You two don't need to worry so much. I can't imagine this would be easy for anyone and at least I'm not injured still.

[Because really, if only you guys knew how badly he would have returned had he not taken a sword to the chest. Neither way to return was desirable, but at least he's not going to have to spend a long time healing.]

[Jale is being mean again! 8(]

Well, that's true... [And then she smiles a bit.] We just have to make sure that there's no permanent damage. Otherwise, Hafin and Nakil would have us on a platter.

Was told to skip Jale, so chiming in now! magecaptain March 15 2011, 05:34:46 UTC
Too late for that, Marica. People who die here lose something when they come back. I just don't know what yet.

Yes, I read about that in the guide. But you can get it back from that "John" person, right?

[Yeah, like he's gonna trust John to mess around with his head when he finds out what it is.] And he sounds a bit too much like our doctor. The Malnosso respect him, that's enough to make me wary.

I guess you've got a point. He's a good doctor, but if I were a "specimen" of his, I wouldn't want to see him either.
