I got waitlisted at Boston University. I'm going to stay on it, that means I won't find out until June 15th if I even do get off it (I won't) and they probably won't give me much if any financial aid my first year.

I'm going to Rutgers--just kill me now.

Hey, i wouldn't be so pessimistic. Most of the time when you get waitlisted, you get in. The reason is because other people who get waitlisted decide on another college in the meantime and take themselves off the list. That means it gets shorter and shorter when it comes to you. Also, I have a friend who got waitlisted to Temple, got in later, and gets more financial aid than anyone I know. Financial aid has nothing to do with merit, only financial need. Just something to think about...

The letter from BU says they can't guarantee any financial aid your first year if they take you off the waitlist because the limited amount of money will have already been given to the accepted students--I think I'd be a little screwed for a year.

I'll probably end up at Temple or Rutgers and be bitter till I go, but like it once I'm there.
