Recently I discovered I enjoy eating raw cabbage, so I thought I'd experiment and buy Sauerkraut. Can I say now that it is rank? I bought a huge jar as you have a choice of nothing or a lifetime supply. I put the first mouthful in and realised I was being poisoned with salt. What is all that about?!? Was I eating it wrong? It's DEFINITELY something you have to eat WITH something else... Typically meat... Unflavored meat... And it's definitely an acquired taste... :P LOL

Treat sauerkraut like pickles - a little bit of it on the side to add taste to your food.

Fresh, raw cabbage is delicious.

sauerkraut is only good homemade... never eat storebought
