The Austria Hungary Prussia photoshoot from last Sunday has finally been uploaded.

Here @ Hanabi WorksYeah, I'm thinking of taking on photography commissions to make a little extra money but the thing is I really don't know what to charge. Each shoot would probably take about a day, including travel and getting to know the clients a little. I was ( Read more... )

I think you're under selling yourself. Have you looked into what other people are charging? At the very least I'd say that you need to make sure that you can cover your costs. If you're travelling to shoot, you need to reflect that for a start. I don't know how much analogue costs either, but the same, make sure that your base is covered.

BUT OMG THE PHOTOS ARE GORGEOUS. LIKE. SERIOUSLY. <33333333

Ah, I'm not sure where to look really. I checked the MCM forum boards and I only found a few topics, most were offering about £6 or so for a half hour shoot, some were doing it for free. I suppose I could also check what other freelancers are charging. I should probably get in touch with my old photography tutor, I'm sure he'd have some idea of the average prices.

Aha, thank-you. I keep fretting that I'm trying to sell a bad skill or something. Heh, I need to be confident.

Have a look on here, and on cosplay.com although those will be american prices. If you want me to ask people how much they're charging for you, I will do.

You should be charging professional prices, because you're damn well good enough. <333

http://www.cosplayisland.com/forum?c=showthread&ThreadID=1546 Look at what Xaerael's doing with his analogue, that's a good idea. He's probably a bit more on the pricey end, so perhaps not that high (not because you're not worth it, but because people won't pay for it), but £5 or £10 lower is probably about right. <3

Ah, I'm not sure. I suppose I should finish up the community before linking it anywhere but you can post the link sooner if you want.

Those photos, omg. ♥ I'M SO GLAD WE GOT YOU ONBOARD BEFORE YOU TURNED PROFESSIONAL. /tear
I think those prices are good to start with! Possibly throw those numbers out, get a few clients, and if the payment doesn't completely outweight travel/material costs, UP IT. You'll likely improve as you do more too :3
