reaching over i switched on the lamp, only to find one of those quite large, hairy, 8 legged beasts rearing up at me... barely inches from my face...
a quick brush with my hand sent him sprawling, thudding against the wall, with me pouncing upon the poor unsuspecting thing with the nearest weapon at hand... a 1,000 page book by Steven King!
