This is gorgeous. Reading it, taking in the revelations each paragraph brings, is like taking in Elysian air. It has the immediacy and glory of truth (which is bare and unlovely, but always exquisite) that usually poetry alone can create. You've done a marvelous job. Thank you for this.

Oh no, I should be thanking you! To say that reading it was a delight would be the understatement of the year. In all honesty, one simply doesn't find writing like this; one simply doesn't. This is a glorious assent to Art. And your writing style is enough to send anyone into raptures; you could have been talking about pine cones and I would have been transfixed. But the fact that you used it to talk about Labyrinth, and did so artistically, is sublime. To take a well-known tale and make the reader feel they've only now truly understood it (while weaving in just enough familiar elements to draw in your audience further) is an accomplishment indeed.

You have a gift, m'dear. Don't ever stop painting your vision with words. ♥

Gahh, that is just about the sweetest thing ever. I feel like I should write/perform an opera in your name to make up for the love you've injected into my veins.

This is. Like. My favourite thing ever.

It's so perfectly Labyrinthine, in that there's so much colour and imagery and movement, a whirl of storytelling that I can wade into like it's water. And I half-expect it to pull on me like water, to be heavy, but every word is so lovely that it lifts me up instead! askdjfka SOARING WITH DELIGHT.

No, yeah, you are obviously a voodoo queen, manipulating the hearts and minds of all who wander into your grasp, just go ahead take my sooooooooul.

Stunning. Every word seems to have been chosen with such care, carrying allusions mythological, fairy tale, and literary, and images aplenty. An absolute treat to read, with that willingness to show the bones of the story, no matter how harsh they may be, that I just adore.

You are absolutely welcome! It's so refreshing to read things like this - I'm certainly looking forward to more, whenever you have the chance. :) I feel all the more inspired to get back to my own writings after reading yours.

By the way, have you read anything by Catherynne Valente (yuki_onna)? The way you juxtapose unexpected images reminds me a bit of her writing. If you haven't come across her stuff yet, I think you'll probably enjoy it quite a bit.

A really beautiful piece! I love Labyrinth fic writers. Particularly the good ones like yourself. You've seen a side of the story, and brought it to life in a beautiful way.

A very unique piece, reads almost like a free-form poem.

Looking forward to reading more of your stuff. Oh, and I friended you, hope you don't mind.

I don't mind, of course! And free form poetry is actually sort of just what I try to harness, so thank you! ♥
