Agatha Christie - Hercule Poirot's Christmas

Jul 08, 2010 11:42

Having signed up to the local library since I moved, I picked up my Christie fancy. It is good that long time has past since I last read any that I forgot most of the solution.

SPOILER ALERT!!

Hercule Poirot's Christmas (1938) is about a family reunion. The rich head of the house is hated by all, and not surprisingly dead no so far into the book. The itself is a disappointment. That might because I read too many to recognise the line of thought, espacially after I read the Mouse Trap not long ago. And Christie dropped so many hints, it was unbearable! How many times did she make the butler mention he was "seeing doble"!!! I'm quite sure I have not read this paticular book before, but still, the Queen of Crime should not have lost her readablilty.

END OF SPOILER

The next on my list is Peril at End House. This one I am sure I have read, but after the first 10 pages I still have not able to recall anything. Looking forward to it!
