SQUEEE!!!!! Oh my dear, that was DELIGHTFUL!!!! I'm so embarassed to admit that I'm not up to speed on Pride and Predjudice, but looking at your art story makes me curious about the story!

The art, individual pieces and the art in its entirety is WONDERFUL! I love the textured paper you used and the beautiful choices of coloring for each piece.
My favorite one is the friend in need. I'm also rather taken with the last piece as the coloring and composition remind me of art from a beautiful, old children's classic.

I really ADORE the entire creative idea of a short "art story", especially the concept of taking well-known tales to do one.
You have given me serious inspiration to do one for my all-time favorite romantic movie, "Somewhere In Time".

Thanks so much for your contribution to the Big Bang. Your entry was the perfect way to start off the goody-sharing and I enjoyed it tremendously!

*hugs* I'm so happy that you enjoyed the pics :) Don't worry about Pride and Prejudice since I quickly diverged from the plot (even then it was a very weak adaptation) from the second panel!

The paper texture mostly thanks to the digital texture I found on the web, I just googled "paper texture" - I believe this is the one I piked: http://2.s3.envato.com/files/1227352/2500x2000_22.jpg After that my lovely friend Photoshop did the rest :p There, my secret is out!

I had the most fun doing the "friend in need" panel. I was timid with the first pic, but by the time I reached the later ones I was on a ball!

Thank you for saying lovely things about these, I love the community sprite here - I get to play with ideas and experiment. I look forward to see the wonderful work that are surely to come in the bigbang and beyond!

and PS. do have a go with your favorite, do it do it do it!

These are so beautiful! I like the whole series but am particularly in love with the "take cover" panel. Absolutely lovely and perfect in it's simplicity. Thank you for sharing this with us!

Thank you :) Glad that you enjoyed these!

I had great fun with the "take cover" panel - wanted to try a "moving shot" and boy you did not see the googling that I did trying to find a photo to model it from! In the end (after about 50 google image search later) I decided just try to use my imagination. I am happy to report that I am very satisfied with the outcome!

I am so happy that I joined this big bang, drawing for the purpose of sharing gave me pleasure and all the kind words are doing wonderful things to my confidence :D

These are wonderful! I'm not into Austen, but I love the style and story going on here. "A friend in need is a friend indeed" is so K/S in any era. :)

So true!! I feel the shooting scene in the XI movie revealed to eachother their true destiny, and that was what I tried to show with that panel. Glad that you enjoyed this *hugs*

Thank you *grins*

Horses are tricky animals that gave me much grey hairs! With the paper, I did use my precious moleskin watercolour book for this, but I think most the visual credit goes to the digital texture overlay :p
